Bimla Kannangara

Originally from Sri Lanka, Bimla Kannangara is an Administrative Analyst at Vancouver Coastal Health, based in the Richmond Community Centre. With over a decade of experience in healthcare administration, project leadership, and e-commerce operations, she brings a diverse skill set and a strong commitment to organizational and community development.

In addition to her public sector role, Bimla manages her own bookkeeping business, supporting small to medium-sized enterprises across Canada. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Business Management and a Master of Business Administration from a Canadian institution.

Having arrived in Canada in 2022 and earned her permanent residency in 2025, Bimla is passionate about supporting newcomers, especially those arriving with limited knowledge of local systems. Drawing from her own journey, she strives to help individuals and families thrive and build meaningful connections within the Canadian community.
